The Harstad Heritage Society, named after PLU’s founder and first president, the Rev. Bjug Harstad, was founded in 1981 with a handful of individuals who believed in the transformative power of education at PLU. Gratefully, the Harstad Heritage Society now includes more than 460 families, with documented deferred gifts totaling over $100 million.
